What an experience! All I can say is each one of you has touched me and the videos have definitely left an impression on me. We are all grateful to have ANGELS such as all of you, espcecially the ANGEL named KAY.

Nurses for Africa Team two is now in London–got a text from Gail about 1 p.m. today saying they had landed (which would have been 7 p.m. in London). The final leg of their journey will be tomorrow when they fly home to Chicago and then disperse to all parts of the state. Can’t wait to see them at the airport!

Mom and friends,
You are truly my heroes and I am so very proud and Mom I love you more than you know and I am so very proud to say you are my Mom. It is very clear that they enjoy life and really know the true meaning of life and what a treasure it really is and that it is the simple things in life that are the most important. I wish you all the very best in your life.
Love you Mom!

As if it was not enough you had to make me cry again (just kidding). I hope everyone whatching understands your message that eventhough you may not have everything you always have something. God is good all the time not some of the time but all the time even when it’s bad.
After a delay in London this a.m. Team 2 arrived safely in Chicago around 4 p.m. Wednesday.
From the chatter by the 3 that I picked up at the airport, it sounds like they had an awesome week! They tell me there are 2 or 3 more videos on the way.

What a great experience for all of you and how fortunate that you have skills you can use to help those in need, both in other countries and here in the US at your jobs. As I tell you all the time, Kay, I’m so glad to have family that I like–and it’s obvious that you get you good qualities from my side of the family! Glad you’re home safe and I can’t wait to hear about all you did.
Hi everyone!
I wanted to let everyone know that we made it home in great shape – despite a 2 hour delay in London.
It was a life changing trip for all of us. It is quite humbling to receive so much appreciation for such small things – like a peanut butter sandwich and a bag of crayons!
It is amazing that the Zambian people are so full of joy, faith and love and have so few material things.
It is truly a lesson for all of us here in the states.
The goal of the schools is to be able to provide ONE meal a day for the children – many of the children do not have any meals. One of the teachers we spoke to said that the greatest difficulty in teaching was to teach children that are hungry.
We should be so thankful for all the things we have in the states.
Team 2 was absolutely wonderful. We worked hard everyday, cried everyday and laughed hard too.
I want to thank the all of Team 2 for being so wonderful, so helpful, so spiritual, so hardworking and so much fun!!
I think we accomplished everything we went there for plus SO much more! It was a true joy!
Hope to see you all soon!! Sorry, Sorry!!!
I was finally able to get this video to play! I was struck by what Kristen said…”The have NOTHING but their FAITH.” Maybe when you have nothing but your faith, your faith becomes EVERYTHING.
Did you ever think about the Lord’s prayer…He said, “Give us THIS DAY, our DAILY bread.” Nothing about tomorrow, next year or 20 years from now…just daily.
I heard someone talking about that on the radio the other day and I immediately thought of the people in Zambia. They truly live in the moment. Perhaps this is the source of their joy-trusting God day by day, moment by moment. Being thankful regardless of how little it appears they have to be thankful for. And perhaps our obsession to have more and more is the source of our frustrations and disappointments.
Ok, now I’m preaching so I’ll quit!
